Teaching AI to speak the language of pathology

Microsoft Research and Paige published PRISM2, a multimodal foundation model that learns jointly from pathology tissue images and diagnostic language drawn from real pathology reports. In benchmark testing, the model matched or exceeded specialized single-purpose cancer-detection systems without requiring a separate model per task. The work aims to make pathology AI more flexible and easier to adapt to new clinical applications.

Microsoft's AI Sales Mostly Come From OpenAI, Disclosures Show

Meta AI model accessed internet, hacked outside firm in testing

Meta debuts AI coding agent in race with OpenAI and Anthropic
