SpaceX to acquire Cursor for $60B in stock, days after blockbuster IPO
SpaceX confirmed it will acquire Anysphere, the maker of popular AI coding tool Cursor, for $60 billion in an all-stock deal, just days after SpaceX's blockbuster IPO. The acquisition builds on SpaceX's earlier merger with xAI and is aimed at strengthening its AI engineering capabilities. The deal, which follows an option SpaceX secured in April, is expected to close in Q3 2026 pending regulatory approval.
